Data Protection ActPatient medical records are held in a central database.
Access to the system is password protected and we are registered with & comply with the terms of the data protection act.
Personal health information may be shared with other health professionals as part of the patient’s medical history.
Access to Medical RecordsPatients may make an appointment to view their medical records. Staff must, however, ask a doctor to authorise access.
An administration charge will be made plus the cost of any photocopying required.

The Village Surgery is fully computerised and medical records are held on computer. The surgery is registered under the Data Protection Act and complies with all current legislation & good practice guidelines.
