Appointments
Urgent Appointment
For urgent consultations we operate a daily telephone triage list and ask patients to call 01403 730016 as soon after 8am as possible.
Please appreciate the phonelines will be busy first thing however we do now offer a callback service.
Our reception team will ask you for details of your health need in order to direct you to the correct clinician, ie doctor, paramedic, nurse or pharmacist.
Once calls are triaged, face to face appointments may be made, depending on clinical need and our availability.
Please be aware we are not an emergency service, so if we feel you need immediate assistance or we have reached capacity, we may direct you elsewhere.
Consult online
For non-urgent medical matters and administrative queries you can now click on the link below and complete an online form.
This service offers a response before the end of the next working day. If you feel you need to speak to someone sooner either call the surgery or if we are closed call NHS 111 or attend an Urgent Treatment centre or dial 999.
Please note that our core hours are 08.00-18.30. Do not submit urgent requests outside of these times as they will not be reviewed until the next working day.
Routine Appointment
To request a routine appointment within the next 14 days:
- phone us on 01403 730016, Monday to Friday from 8am
- visit the surgery and speak with a receptionist, Monday to Friday from 8am
When you get in touch, we’ll ask what you need help with.
We will use the information you give us to choose the most suitable doctor, nurse or health professional to help you.
Training Practice
The Village Surgery has been accredited to train fully qualified doctors intending to become general practitioners. They are called GP Registrars.
The Practice needs to be regularly inspected and only doctors approved for this purpose will carry out the assessments.
Sometimes the doctor may wish to record their consultations and patients will be asked to consent to this. Your permission will always be requested beforehand.
Dr Hyder and Dr Coutroubis are both qualified as GP Trainers. Our current registrars are Dr Swe Lin and Dr Richard Ohiemi.
As a training practice we can also host other trainees such as Paramedic Practioner trainees.
